Do These Things
-
Exercise regularly. Just dieting alone won't do it. Try to work at least 30 minutes of cardio a day into your daily routine. This can include anything from a brisk 30-minute walk, jog, or aerobic class-basically anything to get your heart rate up. Here are a few ways to get some exercise and be active in the middle of Worcester.
- Play in the snow
- Go sledding
- Play Volleyball on the Quad
- Join a pick-up game of frisbee, soccer, or baseball
- Go for a jog through Elm Park
- Eat healthy and decrease your daily intake of saturated fat and sodium. (chips, grease, sugars, chocolate) and replace them with vegetables, whole wheat (no donuts), and fruit.
- Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Some people think that a clear liquid is an acceptable substitute for water.
- Eating your meals slower.
- Eat more frequently with healthier meals and smaller portions.
- Prepare your own dinner rather than order out.
